The Lexus provides a smooth and refined ride, a spacious and comfortable cabin, and luxury touches. Take a look at the Lexus RX hybrid compared to the BMW X3 Hybrid.

The Models

The base Lexus RX hybrid comes with a power liftgate and keyless entry. It gets power from a 3.5-liter V-6 gas engine and three electric motors that put out 308 horsepower. The F Sport model has the same powertrain but has larger wheels and sport-tuned suspension dampers. The BMW X3 is a plug-in hybrid that has a four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor that combine to generate 288 horsepower. The Lexus comes with a CVT, while the BMW has an eight-speed automatic, and both have all-wheel drive.

The Cabin

Drivers and passengers will appreciate the RX's comfortable and upscale cabin. Standard features on the Lexus RX include simulated leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and wood and aluminum trim to give it a luxury feel. The BMW X3 also has simulated leather, and it comes with soft-touch surfaces throughout the cabin. Technology features in the RX include a touch-screen display, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and six USB ports. You'll also get satellite radio, HD radio, and a nine-speaker stereo. The BMW X3 also comes with a touch screen and Apple CarPlay, but you have to add Android Auto as an option, and it doesn't offer Amazon Alexa. It comes with only two standard USB ports, although you can get more, and you can also add wireless charging. Wireless charging is also optional with the Lexus RX, and you can even add two more USB ports.

Technology Features

The 2021 Lexus RX hybrid comes standard with a full suite of driver safety aids. These include a blind-spot monitor, forward collision warning, automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane departure warning with lane-keep assist. Road sign recognition is also standard, and even the base trim has lane tracing assist and adaptive cruise control. While the BMW X3 also offers advanced safety systems, you have to add some features such as adaptive cruise control and a lane-keep assist system as options. The 2021 Lexus RX Hybrid sets itself apart from the BMW X3 Hybrid with its power, technology, and standard safety features.
